Where your file is processed depends on the tool.
QuickConverterLab uses a browser-first approach where practical and temporary server processing when a task needs more computing power or document reconstruction.
Image Converter
Supported image conversions are designed to run in the browser. This keeps the workflow fast and avoids unnecessary server uploads for those supported operations.
PDF Converter
Basic PDF conversion features can use browser-side processing when the requested function is supported by the browser implementation.
Video Converter
Video transcoding can require substantial CPU and memory. The video tool may upload the selected file to a dedicated processing API, create the requested output and return it for download.
PDF Editor
Advanced PDF editing can require server-side text detection and PDF rebuilding. In that workflow, a document may be uploaded temporarily under a non-human-readable processing identifier.
Retention
Server-backed tools are intended for temporary processing. Files may remain only as long as necessary to complete the operation, handle the download window or satisfy operational cleanup. Exact expiry can vary by service configuration. QuickConverterLab is not intended to be a permanent file-storage service.
Failed or interrupted jobs
If a conversion fails or a connection is interrupted, temporary files can remain until automated cleanup or expiry removes them. Do not treat the service as a secure backup location.
Third-party infrastructure
Processing APIs may run on third-party hosting infrastructure. Those providers can process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the service. Additional analytics or advertising services are described in the Privacy Policy when enabled.
